International Students

Emmanuel's curriculum emphasizes global awareness. In the classroom, you'll be exposed to differing perspectives on issues affecting the world at large. Outside of class, you'll live and interact with people of widely diverse backgrounds and cultures-from more than two dozen countries around the globe-adding richness to your education.

If you are an international student or a U.S. citizen or permanent resident currently living overseas, the Admissions Office will work with you through the admissions process. The Admissions staff and professionals in the Office of International Programs will also help you in your transition to your new home at Emmanuel and to college life in Boston. International students will attend a workshop the first week of class to understanding their responsibilities under their F-1 visa and receive helpful resources for attending college in the United States and living in Boston. Permanent residents living abroad are welcome to attend this workshop and make connections with other students residing internationally.

International students will receive academic and student life support throughout their tenure at Emmanuel from various offices on campus, and F-1 support from the Designated School Officials (P/DSOs), who will keep you informed on the benefits and regulations associated with maintaining proper F-1 visa status in the United States.

Emmanuel's international students follow a variety of paths after graduation. Some go on to graduate programs at some of the most prestigious universities in the U.S. and abroad. Others take advantage of the practical training program offered by the U.S. government, gaining practical work experience in well-known companies in the U.S. Still, others return to their native countries to work for world-renowned corporations or to run their own businesses.
